ARE YOU THE

RUB, SHAKE,

OR SQUEEZE

THEIR WRISTS

DURING CLASS?

YEAH THAT WAS ME TOO

YEAH THAT WAS ME TOO πŸ˜–πŸ˜πŸ˜©

FOR THREE+ YEARS I POWERED THROUGH MY WRIST PAIN. IN THE END IT GOT SO BAD I THOUGHT I’D HAVE TO ROLL UP MY MAT FOR GOOD.

This story has a happy ending though, so sit tight and keep scrolling…

AT FIRST THINGS WERE GREAT…

I was yoga-ing a few times a week and could happily do handstand after handstand without my wrists hurting. πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈ

BUT AFTER A FEW YEARS…

I started to notice a niggle or twinge every once in a while - usually when I did too many Vinyasas. πŸ˜•

Gif of a woman in black yoga outfit doing a vinyasa on repeat.

I TOLD MYSELF A BIT OF DISCOMFORT WAS WORTH IT BECAUSE I LOVED MY PRACTICE SO MUCH.

I assumed I was doing something wrong or my wrists were just too weak. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

SO I CONTINUED TO PUSH THROUGH THE PAIN.

Big mistake. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

UNTIL EVENTUALLY IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO IGNORE.

Sound familiar?

Mmmhmm πŸ˜•

Oh yeah πŸ™‹β€β™€οΈ

THERE WAS ONE TIME I GOT SOOOO FRUSTRATED THAT I THREW A TANTRUM, THEN SOBBED SO MUCH I BLEW A SNOT BUBBLE. TRUE STORY.

AFTER THINGS GOT REALLY BAD I SPENT MONTHS SEEING PHYSIOS, OSTEOS, AND ERGOTHERAPISTS - BUT NOTHING HELPED.

Eventually I had surgery to remove a cyst from my right wrist. What’s worse is that the surgeon said I’d need the operation on the left side too. Scans showed I had another cyst in the same place. 😭

BUT HERE'S THE PLOT TWIST

πŸ‘€

BUT HERE'S THE PLOT TWIST πŸ‘€

I NEVER HAD THAT SECOND OPERATION AND NOW BOTH OF MY WRISTS ARE TOTALLY PAIN-FREE.

I can do…

WILD THING

without wincing.

UP-DOG

without getting upset.

Yes, really!

I WENT FROM CRYING LITERAL TEARS IN CHATURANGA TO PRACTICING PAIN-FREE.

I know it seems impossible right now, but don’t lose hope. I’m confident we can get you back on your feet hands asap.

BUT FIRST - I NEED TO CONFESS SOMETHING.

I’m ashamed to admit it - but I was part of the problem. 😬

Early on in my teaching journey I didn’t have the knowledge or solutions to help my students. I simply repeated common alignment cues and advice I’d heard from my own teachers.

With a sympathetic smile, I reassured my students that a bit of pain was normal.

That’s what my teachers had always told me. So it must be true.

Right? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Wrong! πŸ™…β€β™€οΈ

πŸ“’ ALTHOUGH WRIST PAIN IS A COMMON CONDITION - IT’S DEFINITELY NOT A RITE OF PASSAGE FOR YOGA STUDENTS, AND ABSOLUTELY NOT SOMETHING YOU SHOULD JUST ACCEPT OR ENDURE AS PART OF YOUR PRACTICE.

I promise it’s possible to practice pain-free, and I’m excited to show you how.

HEY, I'M JESS!

HEY, I'M JESS!

I help yoga students around the world say goodbye to sore wrists, so they can fall in love with their practice again. 🫢

A young woman (Jess) with long brown hair, wearing a green sweater and black pants, sitting cross-legged and smiling.

I’VE MET HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE JUST LIKE YOU WHO SUFFER WITH SORE WRISTS.

Seriously - hundreds.

Wrist pain is hands-down the most common issue I see among yoga students - and one I struggled with myself for many years.

That’s why I know Googling your way out of it just won’t work.

And unfortunately, most of the so-called β€œsolutions,” well-meaning advice, and common alignment cues are actually making things worse.

THOSE FAMOUS ALIGNMENT CUES YOU HEAR OVER AND OVER IN EVERY CLASS? THEY’RE OFTEN THE BIGGEST CAUSE OF PAIN IN THE FIRST PLACE!

Scary, huh?! 😦🀯

A funny gif of a woman rolling her eyes in disbelief.

Wait. What?

A woman with blonde hair scrunching her face in confusion.

Eh?

A woman with long dark hair and bangs, wearing a light green top, appears to be shocked and speechless.

*speechless*
