AT FIRST THINGS WERE GREATโฆ
I was yoga-ing a few times a week and could happily do handstand after handstand without my wrists hurting. ๐คธโโ๏ธ
BUT AFTER A FEW YEARSโฆ
I started to notice a niggle or twinge every once in a while - usually when I did too many Vinyasas. ๐
I TOLD MYSELF A BIT OF DISCOMFORT WAS WORTH IT BECAUSE I LOVED MY PRACTICE SO MUCH.
I assumed I was doing something wrong or my wrists were just too weak. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
SO I CONTINUED TO PUSH THROUGH THE PAIN.
Big mistake. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
UNTIL EVENTUALLY IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO IGNORE.

THERE WAS ONE TIME I GOT SOOOO FRUSTRATED THAT I THREW A TANTRUM, THEN SOBBED SO MUCH I BLEW A SNOT BUBBLE. TRUE STORY.
AFTER THINGS GOT REALLY BAD I SPENT MONTHS SEEING PHYSIOS, OSTEOS, AND ERGOTHERAPISTS - BUT NOTHING HELPED.
Eventually I had surgery to remove a cyst from my right wrist. Whatโs worse is that the surgeon said Iโd need the operation on the left side too. Scans showed I had another cyst in the same place. ๐ญ
